The Minuteman District

Rotary District 7910 is located in Central Massachusetts, with more than 1,600 Rotarians in 51 Rotary Clubs. The District adopted its Minuteman logo from the statue sculpted by Daniel Chester French, located at the Old North Bridge in Concord. The defining battle of the American Revolution took place at the Bridge, where the Minutemen—comprised of citizen farmers in militias from surrounding towns, who could deploy at a minute’s notice—clashed with a contingent of British soldiers that had marched west from Boston, looking for munitions thought to be stored in the town.
