Nominating Committee Seeks Applicants For District Positions

By Carol Toomey

As of this July 1, the District 7910 leadership positions for 2015-2016 are filled, and people are working hard to make our district the best it can be. Now, we must think about filling positions for 2016 and beyond. An e-mail will be going out this week to each Rotarian asking for help in filling many open positions. To continue moving forward, we must fill each job with the best candidates. You can help by either putting your name in and applying for something that meets your interest, or nominating someone from your club who you think would do a good job.

We will be interviewing candidates in person on November 17. Applications must be received no later than October 15. The e-mail will contain links to the applications and will have instructions on where to send the applications. Positions to be filled are:
  • District Governor for 2018-2019
  • two District Trustees
  • District Treasurer
  • Sergeant at Arms
  • District Archivist
I caution you that Rotary does not tolerate either campaigning or even the hint of campaigning for a position. So it is advisable to refrain from telling anyone that you have submitted an application for the respective position.

It is an exciting time for District 7910 as we bring new people into leadership positions. The future of Rotary depends on qualified candidates serving the district in leadership positions.

Your participation in this process is appreciated.
