Has your club's fundraising added up to a big goose egg because of the pandemic? Now's your chance to feather your charity nest by selling tickets to the Rotary Club of Ayer, Shirley, Harvard and Devens' world-famous Ducky Wucky River Race on August 29 in Ayer.

The club has expanded its ticket-sellers program to include any District 7910 Rotary club that wants to sell tickets for the race. Participating clubs retain 60 percent of their ticket-sales revenue, enabling them to raise money for charitable causes without staging a fundraiser. Already, clubs from Dracut, Fitchburg, Leominster and Westford are selling tickets.

The Ayer, Shirley, Harvard and Devens club will supply your club with tickets to sell to the Ducky Wucky River Race. Every ticket holder will have the chance to win a dinner for two, anywhere in the world. The winner, who will have two years to book travel, will receive the following :

  • Airfare for two
  • Two-night hotel stay
  • Dinner for two (alcohol not included)
  • Ownership of the ticket assigned to the bib number of the first rubber duck to cross the finish line

More information about the Ducky Wucky River Race, a world-famous Rotary charity fundraiser, can be found at DuckyWucky.org. The race is traditionally run the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend. However, due to the pandemic, this year's event was postponed.

Like other major sporting events, the Ducky Wucky River Race will be held without fans in attendance. Only a limited number of race officials and duck wranglers, practicing proper pandemic protocols, will be on hand for the running of the ducks.  After the race, the winners and race video will be available at DuckyWucky.org.

If you’d like more information on this program, please contact the Immediate Past President Joan Pena at 508-331-4042 or jpena@mediapowerinc.com. Joan will arrange to get you tickets (online ticket sales cannot be tracked for our partners) and a customized flyer with your club's contact name and information.
