Realizing that we are all busy and that it is a holiday weekend, we are extending the application deadline (originally, October 14) to November 25 for District Leadership Positions.

The future of our clubs depends on qualified candidates serving in leadership roles throughout the District. In order for our clubs to grow and have more impact addressing local and international needs, there must be Rotarians who will fill leadership roles and provide vision and management skills in support of the business aspects of running our District.
Service in Rotary through District leadership provides you with an opportunity to utilize your skills, experience, and enthusiasm to help clubs succeed. District 7910 is a prominent member in the Central Massachusetts and Metrowest civic-service community, and a leadership role within our organization offers an opportunity to expand community partnerships, strengthen your project- and team-management skills, and help others reach their goals of service and positive impact. A leadership role truly deepens your connection to our organization and to the Rotary motto of “service above self.”

We encourage all Rotarians to consider serving, and to also promote these opportunities within your clubs. Personally, serving in District leadership has been one of the most fulfilling roles in Rotary. It is simply awesome to see all the good that is done by clubs in our District, and the bonds of friendship made by helping clubs help their communities is unparalleled. It is a great way to get much more out of Rotary!

This year’s District Nominating Committee is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
  • District Governor, 2021-2022
  • District Governor, 2022-2023
  • Two District Trustees to serve on the Board of Trustees of the District Funds, 2020-2023
  • Council on Legislation/Resolutions Delegate (must be a past district governor)
We have a unique opportunity this year to select two governors at one time. If you ever thought of throwing your hat in the ring, now would be the time to do so.  It is truly a rewarding experience to have the privilege of leading Rotary in this region. Each club may suggest only one of its own members as a candidate for District governor. The Nominating Committee is not limited in its selection to those names submitted by clubs in the district, and individuals may submit their names to the Committee chair.

All applications must be received by the Nominating Committee no later than Monday, November 25, 2019, and candidates must be available for interviews on Monday, December 2, 2019.

To apply for any of these positions, and for more information about the responsibilities of each position, please contact the Nominating Committee chair, Immediate Past District Governor Steve Sager, at ssager@sagerlegal.com.
