Did you like the outstanding job NBC-TV reporter/anchor Kristen Welker did of moderating last week's Trump-Biden Debate? If so, you may be interested to know she is a recipient of a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship.
The scholarship allowed the Phildelphia native to live and study abroad for a year in Madrid, Spain while a Harvard University student. She is NBC's White House correspondent and co-host of the Saturday edition of the network's Weekend TodayTo watch a nine-minute video, from 2017, of Welker describing that experience, click here.

The Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship program ended in 2013 and was replaced by the Rotary Global Grant Scholarship, which expands on the Ambassadorial mission. The program now ensures that every Rotary scholar advance Rotary's International mission to "promote service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace."

Special thanks to Bob Wicks of the Rotary Club of the Brookfields for bringing this video to our attention.
