The Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club successfully held its annual Recycle Event last month in partnership with the Town of Dedham and Complete Recycling Solutions. Despite inclement weather, the event saw strong community participation and proved to be a significant fundraising success for the organization.
The event, which coincided with Dedham’s Recycling Day, collected a substantial amount of recyclable electronics through a partnership with Complete Recycling Solutions, which facilitates the responsible collection and processing of various electronic waste items. Dropoff items are assessed a fee for disposal, a portion of which is retained by the Club.
After expenses, the Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club netted a nice profit which will go towards the various community service initiatives.

Key to the event's success were the invaluable contributions of Dedham DPW Director and Club Member Joe Flanagan, and the enthusiastic support of the Blue Hills Regional High School baseball team and their coach, who assisted with the heavy lifting throughout the morning, unloading cars for those dropping off.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome of this year's Recycle Event," said Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club President Kevin Hallinan. "The dedication of our volunteers, the support of the Dedham DPW and Blue Hills, and the willingness of the community to participate, even in the rain, were truly inspiring. This event showcases the positive impact we can have when our community comes together."

Treasurer Michael Podolski added, "From a financial perspective, the event was a great success, especially considering the rainy conditions. This will significantly boost our ability to support local initiatives throughout the year. We deeply appreciate everyone who contributed to making this happen."

The Neponset Valley Sunrise Rotary Club extends its sincere gratitude to Joe Flanagan, the Blue Hills Regional High School baseball team, Complete Recycling and their representative Jeff Cabral, and all the community members who came out to recycle.
