As a continuation of our District 7910 Hurricane recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, Nelson Quinones, Moca Rotary President, Gary Siegel, Liberty, NY Rotary club and Gary Hough, Wachusetts Area Rotary Club, began planning a mission to Puerto Rico in mid November.  If you are interested in participating in this trip, the total cost should be $900 - $1,500 depending on travel and what you spend on the island.

The trip is planned for November 15-19. The mission would include a vaccination clinic for Influenza and typhoid that would benefit 500 people in Moca. Dr. Lemuel Soto will work with Rotary, church and Municipal officials to organize

The trip is planned for November 15-19. The mission would include a vaccination clinic for Influenza and typhoid that would benefit 500 people in Moca. Dr. Lemuel Soto will work with Rotary, church and Municipal officials to organize the clinic on Sunday, November 18th. In addition we would work hands on to help repair the Moca Rotary Club's property that was damaged by the hurricane as well as identify new cases to deliver new beds, appliances and supplies to those who have not been able to get back on their feet since the hurricane.

The cost to participate in the mission (from JFK) would be between $900-$1,500 depending on the cost of airfare, lodging and board. President Nelson is looking in to price-points for Air B&B's in Moca that may be much more economical than staying at the El Faro Hotel like we did last year.

We are looking in to flying directly into Aguadilla. Current prices are $330 per person (extra space seats would be extra) on Jet Blue with the following flights: NY JFK to Aguadilla BQN Thursday, 11/15/18 Departs 11:59 PM Arrives 4:43 AM (11/16) RETURN FLIGHT BQN to JFK Monday, 11/19/18 Departs 6:05 AM Arrives 8:55 AM. Total cost with extra space seats is currently 402.00. We are using these flights from JFK to insure everyone (from Liberty NY club and District 7910 clubs) arrive at the same time to insure well coordinated travel on the island.
