On Sunday September 16, the Rotary Club of Acton-Boxborough welcomed more than 70 seniors from both towns to its annual Senior Luncheon at the Boxborough Regency Hotel. Guests enjoyed a served meal of grilled chicken, rolls, potato salad, coleslaw, and cranberry sauce, with a traditional dessert of cookies and Hoodsies, reflecting the origin of the event many years ago as an outdoor picnic.

Rotarian Joan Labrosse arranged transportation from both towns, designed and created table decorations, arranged for musical entertainment by accordionist Gary Morin, and organized club members, volunteers, and Interact students into efficient teams of servers and waiters. Interact students Mila Rushkin and Natalie Dawn from Acton-Boxborough High School served our seniors and had a good time talking to them. After lunch, guests were invited to sing along with the music, consisting of favorite oldies from the 40's 50's, and 60's.

Everybody had a great time and we are looking forward to the Senior luncheon next year!
