As we enter this holiday season, I ask each of us to carry one simple truth: joy is not universal, and this time of year is not easy for everyone. Some are grieving. Some are overwhelmed. Some are quietly struggling in ways we may never see. Our hearts are especially heavy as we mourn the lives lost in Providence and at Bondi Beach over the weekend. We hold their families, loved ones, and entire communities in our thoughts, and we are reminded just how fragile life can be—and how powerful compassion truly is.
The Rotary Foundation is geared up to make your projects successful. There are 2 groups who can help you prepare a great grant application. Rotary Cadres and Rotary Action Groups. Reach out to them they will give you their support.
Join us at the Monoosnock Country Club as continue our Centennial Year celebration by supporting our community through a special collaborative toy and food drive in partnership with the Leominster Veterans Center.
We invite all guests to bring new, unwrapped toys to bring joy to local children this Christmas, along with non-perishable food items to help fill the Veterans Center Pantry and brighten their holiday season.
It will be an evening of fellowship and cheer, featuring festive music, delicious appetizers, and plenty of holiday spirit.
Our beloved annual fundraiser is back and will help us kick off our centennial year - 2026! Join the Waltham Rotary Club for Music Bingo on Friday January 30, 2026 at American Legion Post 156 in Waltham. Great music, friendly competition, and community spirit — all raising funds for local nonprofits and WHS scholarships.
Blackstone Valley Rotary's "Golfing for Good" tree was a huge success at the Blackstone Valley Emergency Shelters' "Festival of Trees" earlier this month! It was the most popular tree at the festival (which means more people wanted to win it than the other trees) and it won the coveted “Best of the Valley Tree for 2025”.
The Club was honored by these recognitions but was really happy to help support the Shelter’s important work in the community. The shelter's Director told us this tree created new excitement for the event and brought more people to it, which generated more money for the shelter.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of longtime Rotarian, Kimberly A. Poliseno, age 59, of Carver, MA. Kim passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 4, 2025, after an extended illness. Neponset Valley members were informed during their Holiday party and with Kim’s husband Mike’s approval, her passing was announced at the conclusion of the party. A moment of prayer and reflection was held for Kim. As one member mentioned, it was good that many of us were together when receiving this sad news. Please read below for her obituary and arrangements.
"Pie In The Sky" is Community Servings' tasty fundraiser that helps to provide medically tailored meals to clients across Massachusetts. Spearheaded by Past President Marie Presti, of The Presti Group Realty, the Rotary Club of Newton has supported this seasonal drive for many years. Now we also recognize the many Fire and Police personnel who give up their Thanksgiving to be on call to serve our community, and treat them to pies to let them know how grateful we are.
Local restaurants stepped up with gift cards, our community joined our raffle, and together we raised $24,700 to fight food insecurity. Wellesley Rotary is using these funds to support veterans, college students, and neighbors in need. This is the spirit of Rotary — service rooted in compassion, partnership, and the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table.
The Rotary Club of Littleton (MA) is once again holding a winter clothing/blanket drive for the Lowell Transitional Living Center (LTLC), starting immediately and continuing until December 31.
The LTLC is located in downtown Lowell and serves the entire Merrimack Valley. It is a client-centered shelter for homeless adults, providing shelter and services for 60 adult males and 30 adult females. For nearly 40 years, the LTLC has offered short-term housing, food and support services to those on their journey to permanent housing.
Last year the LTLC served 1162 individuals, and is already seeing an increase in the number of individuals in need of help. As the only organization providing a Winter Emergency Bed Program in this area, the LTLC anticipates a dramatic increase in those numbers over the next few months.
Our District's Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is almost here. This exciting event is scheduled for Saturday, January 17th at the Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
Public Image Primer: 3 Rotary Logos Do's and Don'ts
1. DO use your custom Club logo all the time. DG Johnny's Leominster Club's simplified logo is perfect. If you're not using a logo that looks similar, you can find your Club logo in this folder. If your club is using the "old" wheel/gear/cog that has yellow and blue, you gotta change it.
2. DON'T use the Rotary "Mark of Excellence" for your Club's program, event, or anything. Use your Club's custom logo for everything.
3. DON'T use the Presidential "Unite for Good" message for anything that will go to folks who are not Rotary members. That's why the banner at the top of this newsletter no longer has the logo below.
To conform to Rotary's brand guidelines, you'll have the easiest time if you never use that logo at , beautiful as it may be.
