Serving as District Governor for Rotary District 7910 has been one of the greatest honors of my Rotary journey so far. Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of visiting more than half of our clubs across our district, and I continue to be inspired by the passion, service, and fellowship I see everywhere I go. Each visit reminds me that when we come together—when we truly Unite for Good—we create a ripple effect of impact that stretches far beyond our communities.

Each year, Rotary members around the world come together on World Polio Day, October 24th, to raise awareness and support Rotary’s promise to end polio for good. This day is not only a chance to highlight Rotary’s global impact but also an opportunity for every club and member to take action locally.
Whether you host a small fundraiser, a community gathering, or collaborate with neighboring clubs, your efforts make a difference. Every dollar raised for PolioPlus is tripled by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation 2:1 match, multiplying your impact in the fight to eradicate polio.
This year, our district has set a bold goal: to welcome 100 PolioPlus Society Members, each committing to an annual gift of $100. Becoming a PolioPlus Society member is a simple yet powerful way to sustain Rotary’s mission and move us closer to a polio-free world.
Learning without limits is critical for the global children with disabilities, and this Inclusive Education Summit offers 18 hours of information all geared toward reaching that goal. Whatever your role in education, including parents, this Summit will offer valuable insights.
Rotary thrives on service, fellowship, and the power of storytelling. Now, with access to Canva for 50 clubs across District 7910, members gain a powerful new tool to share their impact with the world.
Canva makes it simple to create professional-quality graphics, flyers, social media posts, newsletters, presentations, and event materials—all while following Rotary’s branding guidelines. District 7910 has already uploaded every club’s official logo, along with the correct color palette, fonts, and ready-to-use templates. This means every design is both beautiful and brand-compliant, giving clubs confidence and consistency in their messaging.
In celebration of International Day of Peace, the Peace Working Group headed by Brookline Rotary presented a very moving public event in September, helping us understand the human cost of conflict. The program featured two women sharing their stories of living in an active war zone, trying to keep themselves and their families safe, literally under fire. - Marina Radueva, Brookline Resident, Born and Raised in Chechnya During War - Suheir Freitekh, Rotary Peace Fellow, Resident of Ramallah, Palestine

In a true sense of patriotic pride, 50 American flags flew at the Westwood Senior Center, each honoring a hero as part of the Rotary Club of Westwood's annual Flags For Heroes campaign.
This year's event was celebrated with a special ceremony on Saturday, September 20, as each flag's honoree was announced by Westwood Rotary member Mike Walsh.
The Flags For Heroes campaign was introduced five years ago and has become a staple in the Westwood community. Working together with the Westwood Council on Aging and the Westwood Public Works Department, the Rotary Club of Westwood provides this opportunity for residents to sponsor a flag, honoring a hero in their life.
On Wednesday, September 24, neighbors gathered at the First Church of Christ, Congregational, in Bedford for the re-launch of Bedford Community Dinners, hosted by the Rotary Club of Bedford. The idea was simple yet powerful: share a meal, build community. From 5:30–6:30 pm, the Upper Fellowship Hall was filled with the sounds of conversation and laughter as people from across town came together to enjoy a free, hearty meal. Guests were warmly welcomed, guided to tables, and served by volunteers who made sure everyone felt at home.
Public Image Primer: 3 Rotary Logos Do's and Don'ts
1. DO use your custom Club logo all the time. DG Elliott's Westborough Club's logo is perfect. If you're not using a logo that looks similar, you can find your Club logo in this folder. If you're club is using the "old" wheel/gear/cog that has yellow and blue, you gotta change it.
2. DON'T use the Rotary "Mark of Excellence" for your Club's program, event, or anything. Use your Club's custom logo for everything.
3. DON'T use the Presidential "Create Hope in the World" theme logo for anything that will go to folks who are not Rotary members. That's why the banner at the top of this newsletter no longer has the logo below.
To conform to Rotary's brand guidelines, you'll have the easiest time if you never use that logo at all, beautiful as it may be.
