Good news! You can IGNORE all membership lead emails you receive from Rotary International. One less thing, right?
For some reason, they send ALL leads to ALL Assistant Governors. Luckily, you don't have to do anything about them (nice, huh?). Karin Gaffney is responsible for the initial contact with a lead, and she will then give it to the appropriate club.
Be sure to encourage your clubs to participate in the November 17th "Open Doors with DG Diana"! This will be a very special evening, focusing on The Rotary Foundation.
Special guests include TRF Trustees Chair Ravi Ravindran, and Global Scholar Amanda Lanigan. We'll also hear from people who have benefited from some of our global projects, as well as learn about how the projects impacted the club.
Have YOUR Clubs Completed Their Goals in Rotary.org?
Please check your email for a message from me regarding clubs that have not yet entered their goals in Rotary.org's "Club Central" section.
The message includes a list of clubs and which goals they're missing, an instruction sheet on how to set goals, and another on how to report progress on set goals.
Do Your Clubs Know That They Earn Paul Harris Points?
Many clubs don't realize that they accrue PH points every time one of their members achieves a Paul Harris.
Please ask your club leaders if they know about this program. Accrued points can be used to give Paul Harris Awards to anyone - in the club or in the community. Many clubs use them to thank a member for an effort or accomplishment, or as a "Community Service Award" to outside individuals or organizations.
Please let your club leaders know that if they want something to appear in the D7910 monthly newsletter, Diana MUST receive it by the last day of the month before the next newsletter (i.e. the deadline for the November newsletter is October 31st, etc). Submissions can be emailed to Diana at diana_nestorova@hotmail.com.
Items that they might like to have appear include articles & photos of service projects, extra special speakers they're hosting, upcoming events, etc.
Submitted items will appear based on available space.
